Founder Pastor Earl L. Harris Solutionist Earl Harris has been Fighting the Good Fight all of his life. He shared brotherhood with the late Honorable John Lewis when they both were working with SNCC (Student Non-Violent Coordinating Committee) in the 1960s. During that time Earl was one of the volunteers that was sent to Mississippi to register Blacks to vote. His life was constantly in danger while white supremacists looked for his whereabouts. He slept in different safehouses every night with one eye open. Earl evaded detection and death but Chaney, Goodman, and Schwerner did not. The KKK, and local law enforcement abducted the volunteers, tortured, killed, and buried them in a dam in Neshoba County, Mississippi. This would later be known as the Mississippi Burning Murders.

Earl graduated from the University Pittsburgh School of Law located in Pennsylvania and became a Pittsburgh Police Magistrate. It was there that he first changed from an activist into a solutionist. As a Police Magistrate, he could create bail reform in his court. This act of bail reform put him at odds with the Pittsburgh Fraternal Order of Police and politicians. He and his allies started crafting what bail reform should look like in Pittsburgh. The drafting of bail reform was met with great opposition. The Fraternal Order of Police forced his suspension for 6 months without pay. For 6 months his opposition made sure that Earl was unable to obtain any work to feed his young family. He was later reinstated and was able to bring bail reform to the City of Pittsburgh.

Earl set up his law practice after working at Fannie Mae and the Pennsylvania Housing Finace Agency. He practiced law and also became an ordained Pastor. After closing his law practice he became the Pastor of St. Paul Baptist Church located in the City of Harrisburg. From the pulpit, he initiated several civil rights calls to action.
